Meet the artist
Hannah, known creatively as Lady Gabe since 2014, works from her Cheltenham studio creating bold, energetic pieces. She travels across the UK and beyond to produce unforgettable work, each piece inviting viewers to see the world through the unique lens of her neurodivergent mind.
Fail your way forward
Hannah began her creative practice as a digital illustrator, producing work for publications, social platforms, and workshops. A pivotal shift came during the 2020 pandemic, when a period of collective uncertainty led her back to painting by hand. This return marked the beginning of a more instinctive and emotionally driven practice, using paint as a means to process experience and inner landscapes.
Since 2022, Hannah has committed fully to this direction, developing a distinctive body of work that spans abstract painting, large-scale murals, and expressive, playful portraits. Her work is characterised by bold movement, energetic mark-making, and an intuitive exploration of emotion. Celebrating freedom, joy, and the physical act of creation itself. Each piece reflects a confident, evolving practice that invites both contemplation and connection.
Why?
Hannah’s practice is rooted in emotional and mental wellbeing, shaped by her experience as a neurodivergent artist. Through vibrant, expressive works on recycled surfaces, she translates personal insight into shared understanding, using colour, movement, and intuition to explore emotion, connection, and the beauty of creative chaos.
