IT COMES IN WAVES

Inspired by the waves of different emotions that came to the surface during the initial isolation of the global pandemic. Depicting that feeling of being under water, treading hard to reach the surface again. Above the surface is colour and life that is being missed, almost in reach again.

Painted using acrylics, over a second hand canvas donated to me. Using a home made texture mix of flour, sand and water, I coated the canvas first to take away the flat surface and to start creating the waves I saw in my mind.

I went to town using every single colour of paint that I owned!
