Story: A regal peony, known as the “Kind of Flowers” in Chinese culture, unfurls skyward in a whirlwind of colour and motion, its petals blooming with a powerful celestial force.
Rooted at the base, nestled among the folds of nature, lie subtle hints of a miniature civilisation: tiny dwellings, pathways, and whispers of life, dwarfed by the floral titan above.
I aimed to create a composition with the flower itself as a conduit between earth and sky, reality and imagination. This piece is a celebration of growth, transformation, and the quiet resilience of life.
