Monstering Your Emotions
An abstract and entertaining look at Emotions, using Synaesthesia (a confusion of the senses) as a guide to build monsters from otherwise invisible emotions.
This is a colourful reference book, created in collaboration with those working in children’s mental health services (CAMHS), education and social care.
* Who is it suitable for? *
Suitable for all ages, yet we do recommend that younger children explore their emotions with a responsible adult, to help them navigate what some descriptions mean.
We especially recommended Monstering Your Emotions for young people / young adults struggling to understand their emotions and feelings.
* What does it include? *
Over 30 pages of monsters to explore, with a space at the back to create your own visual representation of the emotional monster within you.
We strongly encourage the reader(s) to grab a pencil and create versions of each emotion for themselves. Having something visual to apply an emotion to, is proven to help us process it.
* Why should I buy this? *
- You’ll be supporting a small independent business, helping us continue to create and thrive
- This book is made in the UK and delivered with zero plastic and is 100% recycled materials
- It’s an important prompt to begin healthy conversations with younger minds, about how they experience emotions
